Welcome to the website of Craigmillar Park Church, Edinburgh.

WELCOME
Welcome to the website of Craigmillar Park Church, a congregation within the Presbytery of Edinburgh of the Church of Scotland.
Our building is situated on the main North – South bus route stretching from the Bridges at the East end of Princes Street through Newington towards Liberton. We are adjacent to the Royal Blind School and Scottish Braille Press. Our congregation participates in the ecumenical association called 'Newington Churches Together'.
The church building dates from 1879 and the adjacent hall was added in 1899. In 2004 we completed internal alterations – providing disabled access, new toilets and a new kitchen, and creating a small chapel under the gallery with a new stained glass window designed and crafted by Douglas Hogg. In 2008, as part of a church roof renewal project, we have re-instated a celtic cross at the east apex of the church roof.
To the north side of the church we enjoy a small, but beautiful, garden tended by volunteers from the congregation. Within the garden is a memorial to people from the parish who gave their lives in the First World War.
In addition to our gathering for Sunday worship at 10.30am (with creche, Sunday School and Gallery Gang for younger ages) we have a variety of other activities taking place through the week.
Monday: Craft Group at 2pm
Tuesday: Lunch Club at 12.30pm
Tuesday: Guild at 2.15pm fortnightly
Tuesday: Brownies (phone 664 4017 for timing)
Wednesday: Badminton Group at 7.30pm
Friday: Retired Men's Group at 10.15am
Dance classes, a choir, 'Breathe Easy' and English Language classes are also held in our premises. Special activities take place from time to time e.g. Coffee Mornings, Soup Lunches, 'Beetle Drives', and a large Nativity Scene Exhibition.
As a congregation we support charities such as Blythswood Care (especially their Christmas Shoebox Appeal), Christian Aid, Fresh Start and 'Send-a-Cow'. Different charities are chosen for our Christmas Eve, Lent and Harvest Appeals.
We would be delighted to welcome you to worship and to any of our activities.
